Accessibility compliance takes different shapes for various countries. Whilst some countries mandate access for people with disabilities is mandated by law, other countries have policy to encourage developers to follow best practices.
The W3C maintains a list of web accessibility laws and policies, which describes how various countries are keeping in step with WCAG.
At Inclusive Design, we use local developers, where possible, to ensure our product is compliant with local legislation.
Many would be familiar with Americas 508 compliance requirements, and Australias Disability Descrimination Act, both of which legislate WCAG 2.0 compliance.
By enabling access to all, with these standards, Inclusive Design meets its client obligations to adhere to accessibility laws, and are ready to meet with companies, and agencies, to educate and guide developers into an inclusive model of development.
